Community as an asset: How can we continue to create thriving communities virtually?
July 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
COVID-19 has proved to us the importance of the internet economy and why we must all embrace it. Many traditional outfits have been forced to move their operations online in order to survive.
The same can be said of communities. Especially of communities that thrived on physical interaction. Meetups, conferences, book clubs etc are all being run on zoom.
For those of us running innovation hubs, we attest to the statement that ‘Hubs are not the physical spaces, it’s the community’
How then can we spark the fire and continue to create thriving communities virtually? How can we offer more value for communities online as we did offline with just as much participation and engagement?
On the panel will be:
Kevin Huynh is a founding partner at People & Company and co-author of “Get Together: How to Build a Community With Your People” (Amazon bestseller!). His strategy company has coached organizations—from Nike to upstart nonprofits—on how to create authentic communities. This past year Kevin took office hours with almost 100 grassroots community leaders. He serves on the board of the Edcamp Foundation. Most weekends, Kevin can be found in Brooklyn remixing leftovers with his partner Yoko.
